Ross Mason
Technical Director

Ross is a co-founder and Principal Engineer specialising in Microsoft Azure cloud architecture and the full Microsoft stack. He designs and delivers software systems that are built to last, balancing immediate delivery with long-term scalability, maintainability, and commercial reality.
With over two decades of experience leading engineering teams, Ross has worked at the intersection of complex domains, regulated environments, and evolving product requirements. His approach is deliberately pragmatic: choosing technologies and architectures that enable growth rather than becoming constraints as organisations scale.
Ross has led the design and delivery of mission-critical systems across a range of sectors, including:
- Healthcare & Public Sector
Leading the replacement of the Quality Health Management System, enabling the processing of millions of NHS patient questionnaires and supporting the ongoing expansion of national feedback programmes. - Energy & Infrastructure
Designing and delivering managed service products for organisations such as E.ON and RWE, supporting the coordination of offshore windfarm operations and real-time operational visibility in challenging environments. - Fintech & Start-ups
Working closely with early-stage companies to design technical demonstrators and MVPs, helping founders de-risk ideas, attract investment, and lay solid architectural foundations for future growth.
Ross holds a BSc (Hons) in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University. He believes that the best software is created by teams who understand the real-world impact of the systems they build, from operational risk and user experience to long-term cost and maintainability.
Outside of work, Ross can often be found hopping from thermal to thermal on his paraglider, or coaching and mentoring new pilots as part of the Derbyshire Soaring Club.
